New Live Videos!!!

Last week we had the good fortune to play a terrifically rewarding show in Minneapolis, MN. We played a great venue (The Kitty Cat Klub) with some great local bands (Red Pens, Telepathos) that actually sound kind of like us, and are awesome bands to boot!

The venue was classy, their sound equipment was really prime and everyone who worked there was really nice to us the whole time (special shout-outs to Tom, the owner, Clint, the bouncer, and especially Ryan, the soundguy who made all three of us bands sound better than ever). The other bands performed really well and were complimentary, generous, and impressed by our set. Please take the time to check out Red Pens and Telepathos.

Another thank you goes out to all the fans, friends and family that showed up and helped to make this show one of the best we've ever played. We owe you all a great record. Stay tuned.

Finally, video from last Thursday's show is all posted online now. We'd love it if you'd check out the video HERE.

Thanks again to everyone, and check back for further updates on the album, upcoming show details and links to other fun stuff and places to find us online.

New Videos!

Hey, Folks. We've just finished uploading the video footage we shot from the show we did this week at Stasiu's Place in Northeast Minneapolis. The show went great. Thanks to everyone that showed up and helped us make it so much fun. Check out the video from the show by clicking the link HERE.

Also, don't forget to mark your calendars for our next show, April 30th at Dinkytown's Kitty Cat Klub. We'll be opening for Red Pens and Telepathos. Check the listing on the right hand side of the page for further details. and we hope to see you all there.

Much Love,

Updates, 2009-04-09

First, we are all very excited about the upcoming shows in April, May and June. If you're not yet aware, we'll be playing 4 shows in the next 12 weeks, three in Minneapolis and one in Madison. We're working hard to make these shows more than worth the cover charge, so come on out and join us for a blinding, deafening night of fun and some other good bands as well (i.e.Sun in the Satellite, Old Time Religion, Sharp Teeth, Red Pens, Telepathos and The Dorothy Heralds). We guarantee a rockin' good time.

Next, we are working incredibly hard on finishing up the record. For the last week I've been dumping the raw tracks onto my PC for mixing and mastering while Possum, Kevin and I have all been preparing our vocal cords for a few weeks of use and abuse so that we can finish tracking the all-important voices. After that we have a few choice overdubs left, mixing mastering and pressing. We have a rough goal set in our heads for when we'd like to have it finished, but we'll keep that to ourselves for now. Rest assured that you'll hear it when we are truly happy with it, and that can't be too far off.

We hope to see you all soon at some of the shows and we promise to work our tails off until then so that we can have the gift of song for you all very soon.

Much Love,
PXL

Possum's Lodge Episode 9

We're back this week after taking a break with some new tunes and some classics to keep your mind occupied on this lazy saturday!

New Minneapolis Show - Terminal Bar - 26 June, 2009

Hi Fans, We have booked yet another new show in Minneapolis. On 26 June, 2009 we'll be playing the Terminal Bar in Northeast. Music will start at 9pm and we'll likely be playing second of three bands. Here's a map of it's location.

Madison Show, 21 May, 2009 - at The Frequency

Paraphasia are proud to announce a few news items. First, we have a manager booking shows for us. She's a wonderful woman and is doing a great job. We can't wait to see where she'll take us. She will be booking shows for now, amongst other duties. Please contact her at manager@paraphasiasound.com. Welcome to Jenny.

Secondly, we have just confirmed a show in Madison, Wisconsin. We'll be playing a terrific venue right near the Wisconsin State Capitol called The Frequency on Thursday 21 May 2009 with two other bands. Further details will come out as they are given to us. See the map below for location of The Frequency.

Lastly, we donned our labcoats this weekend and buried ourselves elbow-deep in the mixing board. Progress on the album is coming along swimmingly and a release looks only a couple months away. We are getting really excited with how everything sounds and we think that a lot of people are going to be really blown away with our first record.

Thanks for tuning in,
Paraphasia
